If you ever find yourself in the outskirts of Lugano and fancy a wonderful meal in a very friendly and cosy environment then Grotto San Salvatore is a perfect place to visit.
Ribs were delicious! We unfortunately did not find the polenta and beef tartare to our liking. But the ribs… salivating just thinking about them now. Barbecue is the way to go at this restaurant!
Amazing food and friendly staff. Best place during our stay in Lugano. Atmosphere place with great meat dishes. It is not in the center, but definitely worth to visit the place by bus or walk up:)
Super experience, not only did we felt at home and among friends, but we’ve enjoyed the best polenta ever!! Very well done guys!!
The place is cute and cozy, if weather is nice make sure you get a table outside. We were a table of 11 and had some issues with our order since they ran put of polenta, weird for a restaurant specialized in it. But it was all compensated and forgiven by the great ribs that we had, probably the best we have tried in Switzerland. Our waiter also made sure to compensate for the polenta episode by giving all of us extra sides that were delicious and ribs. The deserts were ok. After paying the bill the waiter offered us a courtesy limoncello. I will definetly come back for more ribs on my next visit
First time to visit the place but, never disappointed. The Risotto is a must try(loved it) and the grilled spareribs were really superb all in reasonable price.
